I tend to spray the lower third with TFR then snow foam it. The snow foam keeps the TFR moist. I occasionally get some on the ground but it doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t use TFR if you gave it to me. The ingredients are nasty and corrosive. I appreciate your keeping it wet but still. It’s like using wheel cleaner often. It shouldn’t be done and shouldn’t need to be done. Wheel cleaner should be used once to clean built up grime. After that normal washing should clean your wheels. The amount of times I’ve seen all the components that surround wheels rusting to hell is unbelievable always due to the very corrosive wheel cleaners. Even the so called acid free are ultra corrosive or they wouldn’t work. TFR strips wax ans sealants on contact. Your car mate but it’s a lovely posh car unlike my old bangers and I wouldn’t use it on them 👍👍

Does it affect grass ?, as I'll be doing mine on mother's front garden. It may well do... It’s a combination of ingredients that grass may not like.

I doubt that the highly diluted snow foam will do any damage to the lawn ... probably less that driving the car on and off, and certainly no more that washing all that muck off onto the lawn. (Yours may not get quite a muddy as mine ... )

Probably only if it comes in contact with your rolling papers.
Snow and grass done in the front garden. Very brazen.

I've had a look at the karcher snow foam lance for k4 ( on Amazon for £15 ) I also watched it on utube ( The Epic car show ) detailer reviews it. I was very tempted at just £15. But the snow foam is too thin , even on max strength and 50/50 dilution.
The Autobrite one gives better , thicker foam ( would this drag of mud /grime easier ?)
I'm just trying to eliminate me scratching my car too much , as I'll use a noodle mitt afterwards.
I'm afraid I only use the one bucket wash, but I do use a grit guard.
I also use rainwater and Turtle wax.

No doubt I was doing it wrong 😅. I have a soft bristle brush that I've been washing the cars with for a couple of years now and it seems really effective. Gets the dirt off but doesn't harm the paintwork.

Not having used foam myself I am only guessing here but I suspect that the car needs a really good wax finish for snow foam to 'drag' the dirt off.

My fear is the tailgate area , I was going to wash the car today - but , I'll wait til during Xmas hols. Besides more heavy rain due tomorrow 😕 and I may have my snow foam thing in a week or so.

Roads in these parts are absolutely covered with mud, so much so that I have got in the habit of lightly jet washing the cars every few days just to get all the collected crud off. Proper washing etc will have to wait 'til the spring. I imagine there'll be plenty of time in the fifth or sixth or seventh lockdown

I'd be happy to give the foam a go again but we're between houses at the moment and living with our daughter (God bless her forbearance) and all my gear is in storage. So I can only wash the cars and dry them off in the old fashion way!

Does it affect grass ?, as I'll be doing mine on mother's front garden. Not that I’ve noticed Jamie. Mine spatters over the garden but I’ve never got loads on the grass. They say squirt washing up liquid on roses to kill green fly if that is anything to go off!!!
