We both had the booster jab this morning the Pfizer one and when i asked how come it's not the AZ one as we've had before we was told that the AZ doesn't give as much protection now against the Delta variant but they aren't sure yet how any of the vaccines are going to be against this new African outbreak, so more worrying times ahead by the looks of it. We were also both asked if we would like the Flu jab but both decided against it for now mainly to see if this booster jab affects us. Our youngest daughter has just come home saying she feels cold, headache and you've guessed it the dreaded aching arm At the moment Mrs P and meself feel ok, fingers crossed

We'd read alot of stuff about folks getting laid out after having both together so thought a gap would be wise.

This was our thinking Jim and if we did start to feel unwell we wouldn't have known if it was the Booster jab or the Flu causing it, we have both never had a Flu jab before so decided against it for now

I think that there is a worry that we are going to get another infection wave and the caution about flu and Covid jabs together has retreated. I've had three Pfizer shots although I was hoping for a different one for the booster.

My 87 years old mother in law has been poorly after the booster and has a bad arm. It's strange how it affects some people and not others. Her older husband was fine!

All travel should be stopped until they know exactly what it is the medics are concerned about, They won’t as they’ve learnt nothing from the blunders already made,

It may well be a case of the media crying wolf yet again. A lot of the time the media is full of sh1t!.

Personally I think not.

I don’t think that’s the case this time, Charlie. Chris Whitty is saying that he doesn’t believe that the SA variant is worse than the Delta strain. Even that paragon of rectitude, the WHO, is cautioning against making too much of the SA version. They both might be wrong but they have more knowledge and experience of COVID than I do so I’m prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt for now anyway 😊.
