good it's sorted :TU: I was going to suggest the speed pulse sensor but you have both eliminated that and also found the problem before I could do that (Reason for that idea was when I installed a Honda Sat-Nav in my HR-V back in 2003, I found it would know what direction I was going in, but would never show any actual movement from the start position as the VSP was not connected to the unit so it thought I was not moving (I was being lazy and hoped I could just use the GPS signal same as stand-alone units, but no  ) And how it HOW it know the direction of travel but wasn't able to show any movement I don't really understand.

we a Honda Accord EX on a 2002 plate I think the sat nav in that wa so complicated just to input an address gave up with it inthe end. Must admit when we traded that in we bought an Avensis and I think it was a TNS 300 it had and a small screen that was a fantastic system.

If it's not updated (like mine) I find myself driving across fields & the amount of new estate roads or one way systems it doesn't know about is getting to the point of it's worthlessness. I keep looking at the Android replacements for it.
Get what you mean the disc in mine is 2007 so could do with updating but the price of a new one is ridiculous so betteroff with the Waze. We used to ha e a massive roundabout just off the motorway which has now been replaced with silly traffic lights in about 5 directions (confuses the hell out of someone out of town) that’s when it starts getting confused. Can’t remember exactly how much it is for an updated disc but I’m pretty sure it was over £200 when I asked. Just had a quick look on eBay and this guy seems to be charging more than what Toyota charge 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😱 rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332708003376

Let us know if it’s compatible for £40 and the most recent version is well worth the price

He says it's compatible, so I have ordered one, if you also decide to order one make an offer, I offered £35 & it automatically accepted it, might be worth a little lower to see what happens.

So a little update, the seller sent me a DVD which didn't arrive, so he sent another DVD only for both of them to turn up the same day, interestingly 1 works, 1 doesn't so being cheeky I advised him the DVD has turned up but doesn't work, he asked me to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes & try again, not sure what this would achieve but tried it, but still won't read the disc, it just states "Unable to read data, Check if the map DVD is correct. SO I advise him & he sent a further DVD, but I've got exactly the same with this one. They appear to be genuine & not copies but not 100% certain.
So I have 2 map DVD's if somebody wants to try & play around with them to see if they can get them working,
My original as above is a Europe A 86271-53031, 86271-60V661A 2006-2007 Ver.2 the 2 I also now have are Europe West E1G PZ445-X03EU-0N, 86271-60A660 2017-2018 Ver.2
Postage will be £1 for both discs, maybe somebody knows more than I (not difficult) & can get 1 or more of them working.
