We used to have a 'name' field in our profiles, now we don't ... [I've obviously got far too much time on my hands ... ]

Modifying or Deleting Posts According to the ProBoards Support section (i.e. Help) - Modifying and Deleting Your Posts - we should be able to edit or delete our own posts but it's clear that we also have a timeout running on the availability of that functionality ... I just now went back to 'edit' an image previously posted only to find that I can neither edit or delete my own post! In this instance it's not the least bit important - just not what I expected - but it might be inconvenient for anyone looking to maintain a 'how to' for example ... Is this behaviour intended and what's the timeout period? Edit: I can still edit this one! Editing and Deleting posts is limited to the first 24 hours. This is not the proboards default but one I have set for a specific reason. Supporters have additional benefits including extended edit time, so in your case you probably should have been able to? Which post was it? Staff can edit and delete at any time and all "official" How To's are in a section that are read-only for non-Staff in order to keep them 'clean and specific'

And it doesn't need editing - I was merely looking to explore image posting options. So, in the event that a member needs to modify or delete a post more than a day or two after it was originally made they'd need to ask the Staff ...

EDIT: There was a settings issue. I have now changed permissions to have editing working as I described it following post.

... So, in the event that a member needs to modify or delete a post more than a day or two after it was originally made they'd need to ask the Staff ... I guess yes (unless they are Club Supporters) Reason: There are too many forums (not ours to date generally) which have loads of threads destroyed and made meaningless by a member taking exception to something and going back deleting and/or editing their posts retrospectively out of spite. And with around 1,000 members you certainly can't (or would want to) vet every member. The reason why Club Supporters CAN do this (edit old posts) is they have a tangible stake in the Club and are most unlikely to carry on like this.

Each time I look at a post I am getting this message, currently responding with Not right now, thought I'd mention it first before clicking the 'click here' option

Where is the option to "untag" myself from a topic/thread ?
I thought it may have been in the obvious grey box called Thread Options, but nothing obvious in there.

If I have been participating or following a thread and I no longer want to get a email each time someone adds replies within the thread ?
