does anyone know if the mazda cx5 engine is the same as the 2.2 unit that goes in the rav ?
they do a 150 +185 bhp unit. just wondering as they are part owned by toyota.

I’m 99% sure Mazda used thier own engines or possibly worked with Ford…. Again 99% sure it’s not a Toyota unit. Mazda had some issues with thier diesel engines. The diesel fuel was getting into the engine oil somehow and owners were getting higher than normal readings on the dipsticks which was the pointer. Don would be your man I’m simply going from memory and may be wrong but it gives you some ideas to look up on Google. I know Mazda are sharing the late shape Yaris in the form of the Mazda 2. I’m no fan of manufacturers mixing and sharing cars. If I buy a Toyota I want a Toyota not a Mazda, |

hmm not good, like the look of the vehicle though......oh well back to the search.
keep getting drawn back to rav4 !
