So, im umming and ahhing about getting the ravs wheels refurbed. Theyre corroding quite badly on the inside now and tbh i've a couple of kerb scratches on the faces too.
Just wondering cost (17" wheels on mine) and who's decent. Dont want to change the colour, think the silver wheels suit a blue car nicely.
How long does it take and do you drop the wheels off or just leave the car?
Thanks.

Two general options .... 1) Mobile Refurbishers who do a while-you-wait type service (around half a day for all four wheels); 2) Companies that do a tyre-off, chemical dip/blast and powder-coat type service - this would very rarely be a same-day service. I used to reckon on a few days. I've used a few different companies and the fastest all-in service (including tyres off, wheels redone, and tyres back on) has been just around 24 hours. For what you want, I think option 1 is not appropriate, so need to go with option 2) Some will let you leave the vehicle in their compound/car park while the wheels are being done. Often you will have to take the wheels off and take them over. No single standard.

I have recommended them often and The Wheel Specialists do a first class job. I have used the guys in Burton on Trent several times and they do a great job at a reasonable price. They have depots across the country so there should be one near you. You can either drop the wheels off or leave the car. In any event they do a one day turnaround. I have had a couple of RAVs and the Saab done by them and the cost was about £60 per wheel. I wouldn't use anyone else now.

They were originally diamond-cut faces (so obviously knackered!) and after I got them back looked super-dooper

They look fellas. Exactly what the rav needs.
Found a local place in north Ayrshire which has some good feedback. £220 for 4 wheels and 4 calipers. Going to pop down and have a look/chat.
Didn't think about the calipers but might be a nice touch.

In order to powder coat they would need to be removed and stripped due to the heat in the process.. Powder coat is extremely durable. Paint on wheels not so.... .
