I bought the car a few weeks ago.
First impressions were that the car was surprisingly quick. I had a Honda CRV before.
After driving for a few weeks, I can feel that it is a heavy car & has a lot of inertia & going round bends etc, it wants to keep going in a straight line.
I do not think that the tyres help either.

What engine and transmission was your CRV. We have had two petrol automatics and I think they go quite well but I suppose your RAV has a bigger engine than the 2 litres we have so it should shift. I think at the end of the day physics will determine that the more massive the car the greater its inertia. That's why a small light car can be better in the ice and snow!
