by Uncle bob Thu Mar 27, 2014 1:35 pm The Near side rear wheel arch on my 3door Rav4.2 has been loose since I bought it, I thought its time to see what the problem is. Left hand side of arch as two pop rivets to drill out, right side of the arch involves taking the mudflap off ( if fitted ),then its clipped on, also the black pipping trim is attached by double sided tape, should be warmed off but as mine has fallen off ....not a problem. ....well that's broken it ! Also took the rear 1/4 bumper off just to clean it. Found the problem, top clip is missing and has had sealer pumped in to fix it....or not as the case maybe... Paintwork now cleaned up and 1/4 bumper refitted... Arch is going to need some work to get the black trim refitted, so fixing that this week. Arch clips are delicate little items, and 3 types per arch... This is the one missing, have taken this from lower down the arch for now.. I'm currently bonding the black trim to the arch, then 4-6mm double sided tape needed to stick black trim to bodywork, once reattached. ....more to follow :s_thumbsup Rubber trim between arch and bodywork fits in a groove, first job bond rubber back in, then let it set over night. Then add double sided tape (6mm) to edge of rubber trim that will touch bodywork once fitted. Gets tricky now, add all the clips to the arch, peel off small section of backing tape and leave hanging out the outer side, offer up arch to bodywork.....push in, then peel tape back off and push hard home all the way round. All back on now but would not rush to do it again :s_yes
