I know..... I know 😕
I've just yesterday topped up my coolant again. It was about 1" below min. It worried me so I topped it up , as you would. I'm on Facebook and a few on there say they've had the coolant pump replaced on their 2012 Rav... at about 40k miles.
The Rav isn't overheating, needle halfway all the time. Can't be head gasket as the signs simply are not there. It's only losing coolant , nothing more. If I top it up to the min mark, it spits out more.
It's fine for months then randomly loses half a cup.... in a week.
Anybody else suffer this... Sorry to be a pain... 🤔

Is it still under warranty Jamie ? If so , I would see what Mr T thinks.. Well I did buy an extended warranty til Oct this year. But.. because of my additional lights etc modifications. I don't know of they'll honour it 😕 Doesn't hurt to ask them though , wonder if they'll charge me to look at it first. I'll ring them tomorrow....

Jamie, that level goes up and down like a tarts knickers. The more you put into it, the more it'll spit out. Leave it for a few weeks but check it regularly and only top up if it goes exceptionally low.

After all it's not actually doing any harm. It's just rising and falling.

How delicately put David I'd be taking your approach, check the level regularly and if it never goes below the "very low" level that yours seems to like, don't worry unduly. I do wonder if the pressure cap is OK though.
