Tools and bits needed:
New auxiliary power socket c/w wiring
Two-wire connector block
Silicon sealant
Small flat-blade electrical screwdriver
Standard flat-blade screwdriver
Pliers – stubby & needle-nose
Wire cutter/stripper (optional)
Time taken: 1½ hours
The socket kit. £4.99 from Cheap Accessories on eBay. It comes with 10-amp fuse and holder but this isn’t needed on the RAV as the power supply to the socket is protected by an existing fuse in the fuse box.
