Hi to everyone.
My 2006 Rav4 has the 2ad-ftv 2.2 engine.the engine is the 136 hp edition. So a have change the turbocharger with the vb16,1 stage cam reprofiling, intake manifold from lexus ,reprogramming ecu.now the engine is 180 hp.has someone of you done similar upgrade? Please if someone know the limits of the engine it will be very useful for me. Thanks a lot.

Did you do a 'before and after' comparison?

Some consider that squeezing the extra HP out of what is essentially the same engine may well have been the root of the problems seen.

The only exception to this would be the fitting of Lindops tuning box. Other than that leave the thing well alone.

All these potential problems I know.And of course I understand the risk I take but if we do not risk we will never learn .unfortunately this type of engine is not popular for tuning instead for example the 1.9 tdi vw group.i will risk and we will learn.any helpful information about it will be important. I have already protect the engine by cancel egr,no dpf and egt gauze.
