rav battery has let me down after sitting for a few days.
can anyone suggest a good battery that will last a few years.

Yuasa are hard to beat. EDIT: www.yuasa.co.uk/ybx5335.html is what I have. Should be cheaper from a motor factor, battery specialist or even Halfords. |

I'd say that any well-known brand will give more than "a few years" service. I've always found Yuasa batteries hard to fault. It was a Yuasa in our original RAV and it went for 9 years... :TU:

My daughter's car battery in her wee Ford KA died last week, probably because I've not been driving it enough whilst she is at Uni.
I got a Premium battery fitted for £90 at Kwik Fit. I chose them because it has a lifetime warranty. I could have got a far cheaper one, but I spent a little more, so I can never worry about it again.
Saying that, it's up to you if you want to let them touch your beloved Rav !! I wouldn't 😄

As my fire engine has a large 12v battery, and I also carry a spare large battery (its a 6 cylinder petrol lump that needs turned) I tend to keep a tricklecharger on it from time to time to make sure the battery stays topped up. I did the same with my RAVs if they were to be sitting for long - or even simply disconnect them.
