Hi everyone. Bought a 4.3 Rav4 2010 Crossover D-CAT 150 CV Auto last week. I'm excited about it. It drinks fuel more than me on friday night Fabiano from Italy.

Those of us with diesels find increased MPG when using Millers Dieslel additive. Plus it keeps things cleaner. MPG ain’t class leading but not bad given it’s a big car..
I run a wee Toyota IQ. It runs on fumes. Not sure if I ever mentioned that. Also use it for culling deer.

I am thinking to change the DPF with an emulator and close the Egr. I heard it will increse MPG also. What do you thing about?

Fabiano is from Italy ... but the equivalent question applies - translated to Italian!

DO NOT mess with the EGR on these cars. No way never....... I would leave the DPF alone as well... These cars have extremely sophisticated Denso electronics and you may open one hell of a can of worms. Ford Transit Vauhalls maybe but not Toyotas and certainly not with a derivative of the 2.2 2AD engine and it’s controlling electronics.

To be honest yes.. it not legal even here in Italy.. but its a practice that italians usually do.. it's risky Will that not fail the new MOT rules?

mmm this sounds good
BTW I followed your advice and just bought an additive for dieasel... hope it will improve my current 26 MPG (city circuit) ... at least a bit
Inhibiting the dpf valve was just an (at this point stupid) idea....
