I have a 2017 rav and want to disconnect the door open and seat belt beeping. Can it be done? Yes, but you need to connect to the 'brain' of the car. I have asked the dealer to do this while the car was in for a service, which they did FOC. Oh, i am not sure the door warning can be disabled, i only asked to disable only the seatbelts.

That's not a MOT check is it ? I reckon it should be.

I actually think the buzzer was dangerous, as i had a bag on the back sit, and it moved just a bit and the buzzer started buzzing at 70mph on the motorway, and after 1min it buzzers louder and continues. ..not pleasant and dangerous! I am happy with light flashing only.

I'm sure you are a normal sensible person, just like all of us on this forum But you will get Muppets that will do this to the safety systems and put people's lives at risk !! I see your valid point and don't have a issue with it.

The buzzer on our 4.2 is really loud and annoying. The 4.3 is not as loud. I have a seat belt exemption and when I need to take the belt off when driving have to pull over, stop and then put the belt behind me and reconnect it to stop the annoying buzzer, I used to have a seat belt buckle but lost that and not bothered with it again.

My old cars don't have that; and the fire engine oddly (lol) has no belts....but being a timber cab construction probably wouldn't be of any benefit.
