Driving home today, at some stage on the motorway all infotainment systems froze! Radio continued playing, but could not change volume ir stations, satnav froze, no controls worked. Engine wise, all was ok. After about 5min, the system re-started (as when you start the car) and all went back to normal. I do not like this!

Years ago, there was a radar/defence site just west of the M1 north of Watford Gap that apparently played havoc with the electrics of certain vehicles at the time, particularly Audis. I heard stories from colleagues about engines simply cutting out as the facility was passed and then, as the car coasted along sans power, going back to normal a few moments later. It may have been a myth but I heard it quite a few times from different sources. Something similar maybe??

Don't think so - I pass there everyday twice... never happen before. It was on the A505 just before the Weston hill tunnel. By the time I got into the tunnel it sorted itself. I am not aware of any transmitters in close proximity.

I am not aware of any transmitters in close proximity. There's a listening station just off the 505 near Sandon........... EDIT You've just missed their 'Open day' Baldock Radio Monitoring Station, OFCOM, BALDOCK RADIO STATION, WALLINGTON, BALDOCK,HERTS, SG76SH
