I like using the inbuilt Sat nav, albeit, not perfect and nowhere near is good as Google maps etc, but I do use both. However, I do like using it...but, it seems to take me round the houses and never uses the shortest and quickest option. Like tonight, coming back from a lovely curry, I used it, I know the roads locally like the back of my hand, so I know what the best routes are. Is there a setting that I have got wrong ? Any input....apart from don't use it will be appreciated. I've attached some photos, which I hope have uploaded properly.

Sorry i can't help but I managed to get the homeward bound route into the Hybrid last weekend on our way back from Stratford On Avon just to see how it worked and that took us round an island heading back into Stratford, luckily I did know the way so ignored it. Google maps is the best I've used.

I think having a built in sat nav is really convenient but they rarely choose the route I want! I would like a "big roads only" option - instead of being sent down single track roads to shave one minute off the time (which doesn't work for me because I slow down terrified I am going to meet something coming the other way)!
I use Google maps on my 'phone these days rather than the Tom Tom I have in the car.

Don't get me started on the built in sat nav... It is very convinient but the route selection atrocious ! I have to be tripple careful when towing as it always tries to take you off before a big junction, and send you diwn a very small road. Mine was updated about a year ago, and now there are some speed cameras that it starts beeping 700 yards before but it does not stop beeping until i pass the camera. Found 2 places already...

Does the reversing camera come automatically with the satnav or can/are they two separate items?? The TomTom satnav we have is rubbish also and haven't used it since the Google maps app came out on the phone, and I believe TomTom are no longer updating the early versions like ours?

On our CRV we have sensors and a reversing camera, both very useful, but no built in sat nav. I tend to reverse into spaces using the door mirrors but the sensors alert me when I am getting close to something and the camera confirms just how close!
