Well Mrs P really has taken to the automatic Rav so much so that her next Rav if a Rav she says will have to be an auto, we will be keeping the Hybrid till Monday now so longer than expected. She also likes the push button start and reversing camera. So what older model Rav would have those features, when did the push button start come into use on the Ravs. I remember reading about the auto box on some models not been very good but can't remember which model so anything else to be mindful about the auto Rav?? Just curiosity at the moment

Paul, our 12-reg D-CAT was auto with reversing camera and satnav as well as keyless start. I'm can't say for sure when this stuff became standard on the 4.3 but I'm sure that Don or one of the other experts will be able to say.

It depends on whether you want petrol, diesel or hybrid ... The 150 D-CAT came with an excellent traditional auto box from the 4.3.5 and through into the 4.4. Mine is an 'umble Icon, has a superb auto-box, sat nav and reversing camera but starts with a key. I believe that the higher trims are key-less (and thus rather less secure! ). The auto box has been popular on the 2.0 VVTi for longer than these forums have been running - but tends to be a tad thirsty if you re doing lots of miles. And all hybrids are CVT autos. You have to check trim levels and options for sat nav, reversing camera and push button start ...

The Invincible is the top spec pre hybrid diesel auto. But even the Invincible does not come with Navigation or the Style pack as standard.
When I bought my car I searched long and hard to find an Invincible with Navigation and the Style pack which consisted of the side steps and a couple of other bits. I then added the silver rear under guard and the corner bumper guards. Again the Invincible does not get a sun roof ..
You really don’t get much kit even with the top spec cars. Everything is add on which is bloody ridiculous. By the time all the goodies are added it’s very expensive.

My 2011 SR D-CAT auto has just about everything I needed/wanted, including the colour, except I would have liked a sunroof as well and maybe a towbar, but buying a car with a towbar fitted, could mean it's been pulling a heavy caravan for years !!! Unless it's one that I have had fitted, which would be used mainly for my bike and the odd occasional trip to the council tip with my small trailer.
The original first owner must have took the financial hit, as mine came with front bar ( whatever it's called), side steps and front and rear parking sensors, full sat Nov, reverse camera, push start button, keyless entry etc etc, all supplied and fitted by Toyota.
I always look for the best I can afford with all the bells and whistles, knowing that I'm not paying top dollar for it.
So I was well chuffed.

I looked for ages for a white one with all the kit but never found one unless it was bonkers money. For just a wee bit more I got the 4.4 but still love the 4.3. Paul are you talking new or used ?

Up to 4.3 but you show us a late 4.4 Confused....... That 2.5 petrol non hybrid would I bet be very thirsty... Plus would parts for a non UK marketed car be readily available??? Looks nice and is cheap though. Me I would buy a UK car.

Wrote the 57 plate 4.3 off at Xmas and replaced with a 62 plate (last of the 4.3) The wife didn’t fancy a 4.4 which was £2k+ more for a 6 month newer car! Both were XTR model but we changed from manual to auto (wasn’t fussed about the drop in mpg, (old was circa 40mpg, new is about 32) but it is lovely to drive! Lost the sunroof, gained rear camera, sat nav, cruise control, keyless entry and push button start!! Neither had spare tyre btw
Just over £10k I thought it’s a lot of car for the money.

I know Charlie but it is around the 4.3 price range but has as been said too many risks with an import I guess.
