I'm also thinking that. I do take it out once a week, which I know is not enough, I also check tyre pressures, fluid levels etc. It has a plug in OBD Telematics and I have to drive it like Miss Daisy, to keep her score up

Hmmm! My daughter used to complain about her husband driving her RAV so hard that the OBD fuel display dropped below 50mpg. It's pretty flat where she lives though. Hope all is now well with the Ka, the problem is you have to learn to trust it again - and that takes a little time.

Possibly To do with little use Chris. The seals are made with the lip facing outwards and when you put them under pressure they push the lip out into contact with the bore under corresponding pressure. When they become worn, there is a possibility that the fluid can get on the outside of the lip, especially under light pressure and then when you push harder, it forces the lip in more and then the fluid is free to pass the seal and the pedal goes to the bottom. Release the pedal and press again and the lip goes outwards as it should. It leaves the driver with one heart stopping moment where the pedal went to the floor.
Once they start doing it, they will do it on more and more occasions. A seal kit will fix it but only if the bore is near perfect.

All makes sense on all what you are saying. Anyway, it's all replaced now with a genuine Ford part, so all should be good.
I will try harder to drive it more regular when she is not at home.
Cheers
