Wondering if anyone can help please.
It's service time for the rav again and removing/refitting the oil filter is always a pain.
Anyone got a tried and trusted wrench?? Last time I bought a laser one off Amazon but it didn't really fit properly.

 ![]() not found anything that this will not fit, yet!! you can get a ratchet on it too if they put it on a bit tight last time.

works fine for my 4.2 diesel, are the filters on later models a weird size/design? screw drivers are cheaper though.lol. just gets a bit messy. darki, let us all know how it went

Yes, its an aluminium housing with a replaceable paper element on the 2.2 diesel and the 1AD. |

Its a mk3. 2.2 diesel.
Something like anchorman suggested is exactly what I bought last time. Meant to be for the Rav, didn't even come close to fitting!!
Wondering if Toyota themselves will sell me one. Apparently halfords do a kit of various sizes too. Will investigate both alternatives this week.

Clark’s tools or Draper tools may do a dedicated tool for the job 👍🏻

Looks like Draper do an 84mm socket. This could be the answer. Need to get under the car and measure. The last one I bought was 78mm and too small.
