Had a really nice family day - started earlyish with a drive out through the Cotswolds to Cheltenham in the SLK to collect Daughter from train. Lovely morning so roofless to and from. Rest of family arrived before lunch to take me to the Cotswold Wildlife park for a huge picnic prior to spending an enjoyable afternoon looking at the animals, birds and reptiles. Though we have lived ten minutes from the Park for eighteen years, I had never previously been. Certainly a great day out if you like animals. All seemed very well cared for, content and with plenty of space and interesting enclosures set amongst lovely trees and gardens. Then home for a breather and some welcome cups of tea before going on to Son's place where he and his partner hosted us all for an evening barbecue and a glass or two of his home brewed beer. Just dropped off 89 year old Mum, who kept up with us all day, on the way home. Now completely worn out, slightly sunburned and thoroughly well fed. They've spoiled me rotten
Charlie would have particularly enjoyed the Collection of Alfa's gathered at the Wildlife Park today. There were some crackers lined up from vintage to current. The Cotswold Alfa Club had their summer meet there.
