I have a 2006 rav4 2.2 d4d which failed it's mot emissions test so was advised to put cleaner in fuel and take for a good run , did that passed test but a week later got this code ,can I take it that all the muck from cleaning has affected the egr valve and if so is it an easy to fix job , thanks in advance.

Hi Jim - and welcome to the asylum  Definely worth cleaning the EGR ( see seperate subject on the board at forum.rav4driversclub.com/thread/321/2-d4d-egr-valve ). Is the fuel filter clean 'cause that is always worth replacing with any fuel problems. I've just looked and can't find my list of fault codes for the RAV but I'll bet someone will be able to post it and probably give you a good idea what it means. |
