The 5 door I intend to sell got 2 advisories - "Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement Rear bush (5.3.4 (a) (i))"
The garage said that as I intended to sell the car, it wouldn't be worth fixing the bushes. The offside was mentioned too. The car drives ok but there is clearly knocking going on - and I guess that would put people off. Anyone fixed this fault? Do I need to buy the lower arm, or can I just get the bush replaced? The arm seems to be around £80 each....the bush £9
I've watched a Youtube video to replace the arm, which seems to be a bit labour intensive involving loosening the subframe, or the engine mountings.
The car is listed on AutoTrader - one of the few 2007 petrol auto RAVs. No response yet..maybe too cheap lol

Presumably the arm still needs to come off to replace the bush.

Just found the car in question …does seem very cheap. Aye - I'm thinking of sorting the front bumper scrape and get the front suspension knocks done and then jack the price up. The other 2007 autos are a fair bit more £s.

Presumably the arm still needs to come off to replace the bush. Yes- you're right. So going to that length, maybe easier to fit new arms. Not a job I could take on so would need to be a garage....straight forward enough but just a lot of fiddling to do it I think.
