Been looking at a spray that gives a cars paintwork a top up, so it looks presentable at car shows or between major polishing . have just watched this clip and the guy has given his options, if you’re busy just go to end of video for his conclusions 👍🏻 …or are they all just junk ?

I had used The Last Touch diluted 50:50 with water after every wash and then toweled dry. I found that it definitely enhanced the shine and helped keep the wax protection a bit longer (thanks to Charlie for that recommendation many moons ago!) However I've recently started using Turtle Wax Flex which is a pseudo-ceramic wax that is applied occasionally like any other product but it also comprises a spray-on element that can be applied after every wash and then towel dried. It gives a brilliant finish and seems to last very well.

I have never been a fan of the long-term finishes pushed by dealers mainly because of the slipshod way that they usually apply them. Nevertheless I have been impressed by this Turtle Wax stuff as it gives a brilliant finish and really does last well. 👍

EGs There are no real gaurantees as the get outs are numerous. IE you’ve washed the car using the wrong products or even you put too much shampoo in the water…. I suspect my old favourite Last Touch is a bit dated now. I have a bottle of Zaino Z8 which is a super high quality spray treatment come wax come sealant. It’s very expensive but nowhere near what ceramic coating costs but it’s incredible stuff. It’s by no means a new product though just expensive.. In detailing we often see “ contains carnuaba ) and it might .. But the % is microscopic because it’s a mega expensive product costing more per ounce than gold. Pure high quality waxes from the mega expensive suppliers can cost thousands but do have a decent amount of carnuaba. The rest like a lot of products in detailing are just cons…

Something we did to for a bit of fun at one of the Detailing meets years ago was each of the main body of us applied to a single panel our best or favorite LSP to a car that was in cracking condition condition and had been cleansed . That could be Last Touch or a high end wax or sealant . We didnt tell even tell each other what we used we just numbered each panel on the car so we were sure what was on each panel. I for instance had half of the bonnet. My choice of product was Zymol Concours which at around £470 was the most expensive I had. One guy had some top end Zymol wax that cost over 2K.... This was before ceramics had been heard of ..
We then asked attendees to vote for the best number.
The results were incredible !!! No one could tell let alone know which panel was best. In fact one panel had nothing applied and still got votes ... To be fair none of us who applied the products could tell either.
Thats why I simply use the products I do and more usually the choice is made by which product is the easiest to use thats why I choose Colinite not because there isnt easier products but because of its durability. So less applications = to me easier to use. Plus its pennies in comparison. I still have my expensive Zymol Concours. Truth be told I've used it two maybe 3 times. I was at one point daft enough to believe it was mythically going to transform the appearance of my car ......
Anyone in the market for a jar of Kings new clothes ??
