Menachem…..bear in mind these pads use the most expensive EVER anti-squeal shims on their backs, only available from Toyota afaik. Contact Kingo the cyclist chap. If keeping the car, may as well renew these too as they tend to rust and ball to fits. If yours are ok in the end, sorry in advance, but very worth doing.

The shims looked fine after cleaning them with a degreaser. They have a very thin plastic film on one the ( on one side) which were intact. I have not tried to stop at high spead yet, but at 30mph everything was quiet. One thing i forgot to mention, is that to remove the disks there is two M8 holes threaded, and i used two bolts to remove the disks (i did not see this in the instructions).

Parts arrived last week, but we decided to give the van its first test ( that will be in another post). Took the plunge today to change the disks and pads. Sorry, no pics as it is a messy job and did not want to wash my hand every stage , but i followed the instructions from David and they are very accurate! All went smoothly with no issue. The pads came with their own shims but i took those off (are they useful for anything?) And installed the old ones. All seem to work! Thank you very much for all the help, especially the instructions! Can't claim credit for the instructions - Anchorman generated and posted those after I showed him how to do it It is very nice of you ( and I think Kev does as well...🙃) to teach Anchorman this!

That is a right wee handy pointer aboot those 8mm threaded holes, Menachem……very handy if the disc gets rusted on. Nice wan.
