Wow, long time no post, well as my X2 was going to be 3 years old this coming October I started looking for a replacement early. This was due to the long delivery times which were well publicised. Looked at a lot of new cars and just couldn’t find anything I liked. The lightbulb moment came when I was standing in a Honda dealership thinking about buying a new CRV with a 4 month delivery. Just had that memory in my head about when on a previous forum we really did slate the CRV. A quick exit was made, and I started enquiring about when the new Corolla Cross would available in the UK. Turns out it’s the end of the year, having itchy feet this was too late for me. So I start looking at the slightly used market, now some of you know when it arrived I wasn’t a fan of the Rav 4.5 due to the arches. But what the hell I spotted one with only 3100 miles on a late 20 plate. Well bugger me, within 4 days after doing everything on line it’s mine, how did that happen ? What a belter it is, in white, Design model with AWD. and the deal clincher was ? A bloody full size spare wheel in the boot, so after 7 punctures in 2.5 years with the X2 let’s just I’m loving it. Happy days.

Greetings Dave…… Fella in the village has the same car and in white and it looks dead funky…… The arches have grown on me now but then things do once we get used to them. Hope you get on well with the new motor 👍👍👍

Here’s a bit of an accolade for you Dave. Every RAV4 sold in Europe since 2010 has got Textar brake pads thanks to a discussion I had with Toyota about YOUR brake judder problem on your RAV back in (2007/8???). It completely finished their brake judder problems (at the expense of a few discs 😉). It’s a pity we didn’t have a patent on it!
