The rumbling sound became a resonance and a vibration above 40 mph . On checking the rear propshaft ujs are goosed .
2007 petrol manual , will ther models fit and how easy to source?

I can see the puzzlement.....it is meant to read what other models fit ?
As in everytime I find a 2007 -12 one for sale its for a diesel version , or a 3.5l .
Obviously the propshaft be may be different lengths for different variants .
I have found a listing for £150 + p&p for a 2.0 4x4 as required though it looks "used" it comes with a 30 day warranty so is better than mine , However for £215 a new one for a 3.5 or ddiesel can be attained.

Surely there must be some 4.3 petrol RAVs being broken?
Anyone know if the 4.3 diesel is the same as the petrol version?

Thinking about this a used prop could be just as bad, or could fail soon. Why not get your one rebuilt . Could be a propshaft reconditioner in your area .

Thanks for that , this is one that I found but in compatible vehicles it can up in red as not compatible ....could just be seller being on safe side, or glitch.. Either way I bought the used one a we need vehicle back on the road as it is not safe to use at the moment , the vibes are so much worse! Expedience over frugalence unfortunately . thanks for your help. |

Years ago you could replace U/J joints on a propshaft, as long as the joint cups had circlips at the ends . Guess you’ll find that out when the used one arrives 👍🏻

Uncle bob , you are right it is a gamble ,but I can check it before I fit it .... There is a month warranty so hopefully a decent test can be attained.
but the machine is needed ASAP.
My Rav spent 3/4 of its life in the Shetlands and it shows , coupled with our usage I believe a replacement must be better. Once swapped I can recon the old one possibly, depending on damage..
I'll let you know if an I told you know , or a FairPlay emoji is appropriate 😄

I watched a YouTube clip of how to change the U/J on a USA mk3 RAV4. Although it has a pinched outer cup it can be converted to inner circlip.
