I've had my 4.3 D-4D since it was new in 2008. Just coming up to 100k miles now. Apart from the usual consumables, the only failure has been the fuel filler pipe which corroded to the point where it was leaking - this was 3 or 4 years ago(?) This last week saw a second failure, the relay that turns on the dipped headlights. All fixed now by a friendly local auto-electrician who serviced the air-con at the same time. The guy has a Honda 2000S ( same as Bob's I think ) which he has had for 10 years and wouldn't part with for any money!
