The chat about Convertibles of various flavours prompted me to look on eBay for a couple of cars that I think would make good fun summer runabouts (and possibly ideal for towing behind a Campervan ) Liked the style of the Honda CRX (I thought they were called Civic CRXs, but seems not for this model) and this actually looks a reasonable deal for a solid little car ... Honda CRX Del Sol 1.6 VTEC90k miles, so fairly low. Bodywork looks pretty decent and little rust apparent(in photos anyway) give it is a 1994 car. Paintwork is very flat, but would polish up very nicely I think with little effort. Bit of Time spent and some TLC and reckon this would make a super Summer Fun Car

Toyota IQ..... Trust me on twisty roads they are tremendous fun. Don’t misunderstand they are not the best handling or grippy car on the road but sort your lines out trust yourself and they corner like an old Mini. IE a ring weeny bit edgey but emence fun.
But the best bit and this is a very well kept secret they run on fumes yer know. Not sure if I ever mentioned that....
Half decent tow car too......

I’ll second that for the wee IQ, it puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. I would love to try one with the 1.3 engine.. You’ve reminded me Charlie, the wifes could do with a top up of fuel, not done it since last autumn..😜

That Honda has too much body, get rid of doors, roof, windscreen for a true summer car

Charlie are you any closer to choosing an Alfa Romeo 👍🏻 I’m still looking Bob..... Wife has decided she doesent want the kitchen extension we were due to start very soon so we are currently specking a new one for the existing outlay and space... Hell quality kitchens are bloody expensive !! The actual build would have cost less than the kitchen itself. But still looking around for something nice.
