I am looking for a battery charger. I mainly use it for charging the caravan battery (110AH) and was looking for something good but cheap and cheerful. I know about Ctek (60-70gbp) but that is more than i wanted to spend.
Any recommendations?
Many thanks

I'm not entirely sure that something "cheap and cheerful" will be entirely "good" for what you want. Presumably, for a caravan battery, you want something that will charge it again once you've run it down - as opposed to something that will help to maintain the charge on a car battery? So, for a 110AH battery, a 1A charger that would take 110 hours to recharge the battery might not be so good? A Ctek 5 or Noco Genius 5 (5A chargers) would do the job quite well - but at a price - and their 10A equivalents would do the job even better (at an even higher price). Halfords do a Ring RSC806 6A Smart Battery Charger at £40 which might be a reasonable compromise ... ?

From time to time i take the battey out of the caravan (for example in winter, when it is not used) and put it in the garage on charge, so i need it to charge it and maintain. I had a charger from years ago, but it packed up and need replacing. The conclusion i am drawn to is better spend a few more pounds and get a known quantity such as the Ctek. Thank you

Thank you Menachem…..if you want to try a C-tek before you buy I could send mine down furra couple of weeks. Best bite the bullet right enough…..you can leave good chargers on indefinitely whereas cheapo ones can do more harm than good.

I have two on the go Ctec and Optimate. Originally had just the Optimate and charged the Lexus/RAV4 no problem, then the lockdown came and the big Renault master battery went flat so got a more powerful Ctec to handle that .

We were actually away... and just Came back . Before we went i charged the battery with the Ctek to full capacity. Checked today and the voltage went down to 11.75V, car started no issue. I am happy with this charger.
