The worst spoiler I ever had for the Australian GP was many years ago, my clock radio always went off at 06:00 with the radio 4 news, the GP was run at about 04:00 (UK time) with a repeat at 09:00 on BBC1.
Six o'clock arrived the radio came on and immediately said "This is the six o'clock news on the BBC, Michael Schumacher has won the Australian GP"
Aaaaahhhh
I have an even worse problem now, as I don't have UK TV I usually end up waiting a couple of days until I can get a replay on the internet, usually I can avoid seeing the result but it can be difficult if it was an eventful race.
I do sometimes watch the french broadcast but as most F1 commentary tends to quick fire padding with facts and figures laptimes etc, my French just isn't up to the task.

Not opening unclebob spoiler, but I was very disappointed with Mclaren's performance in qualifying, slowest of the 3 Renault teams & not even mixing it with the others. The other ones that struck me were FI & Williams, they have what is perceived to be the best engine out there, yet they were so far behind

The result was 'spoiled' for me twice this morning before 9:00 am (8:00 GMT). First by the BBC who announce that they are going to 'spoil' it, just to make sure that you are paying attention, and then do so before you've had any chance to do something about it - perhaps I should have known better and not watched the TV ... The second was by Google - they had noted that I sometimes look-up F1 stuff so displayed the result on the lock-screen of my 'phone ...

I just went onto the Channel 4 F1 website to check the times of their highlights show - it gives the time of highlights show immediately above the current driver standings (i.e. the result)!

Now that is just daft! {CLICK HERE FOR SPOILER}Just seen the end of the race. Bit boring really Going by the commentary on C4, it sounds to me like the virtual safety car process is a bit flawed if you can go off-track and run at top-speed but not do that on-track? The whole point of the VSC was to avoid artificial track position changes was it not? But it meant both Lewis and Kimi lost out a bit unfairly.

I have seen the race now but will keep mum! I did have a bit of a spoiler by reading a tweet - I must remember not to look on twitter next time!
The other disappointment is that Ch4 HD is only on Freeview and no longer on Freesat which is what I record!

Something I noticed which is handy .... If you register and log on to the BBC Website you can customise the main page to your own interests. I turned off Sport headlines and F1 news - so now can go to BBC.COM in safety on race weekends
