...do you wash your car??
So the evoque goes in for its BIG service + MOT tomorrow and i'm planning on finishing work early to give it a good wash and hoover out before dropping it off.
Am I mad??

Yes, completely ... but then so am I ...
I like to present my car to the garage looking well cared for - as an indication that I expect them to care for it at least as well - and removing the dirt and grit from the outside reduces the risk of some lad at the dealership giving it an extra scratchy wash ...

I specify 'no wash' at service time.
Giving the car a good clean prior to service also provides a good opportunity to check condition. When the SLK goes for service I also insist on a 'walk around' visual check with a staff member to confirm no damage prior to work being done.

I always used to wash and vac the cars before it's MOT but don't bother now as it's usually clean enough and i tell them not to bother giving it a wash and vac now.
Got the Rav booked in for next month so will be it's and our first MOT since owning it :yes:

I clean my own car before it has to go to a garage...one they see it’s looked after and two ..it easier to check for and marks afterwards.

I insist on a walk round inspection of Any vehicle that goes into a dealers. I make them fully aware that if any damage occurs I’m not going to be happy. I place a note on the dash with tape saying the car must not be touched by the valeters . .. 👍👍

Well, good wash done. Few new stone chips and needs a spring claybar, polish and wax but looking much happier now. Just hope no surprises tomorrow, fingers crossed  |
