Anyway, 3-dr, white Warrior, 16K miles, 67-reg with 2 years' warranty still remaining. Not as bling as the Barbarian that we used to have and all the better for it. They're all diesel auto EU6.

Well, having chatted to the dealer, a guy who drives to Glasgae and back regularly and consulting the Scottish govt covid website a few things are clear: 1. Non-essential journeys are not allowed. 2. Dealers are allowed to offer test drives, appointments to view & click and collect. 3. Our travelling friend has never seen a cop let alone been stopped by one. So presumably driving to a dealer appointment or to collect a car is essential? Otherwise how the hell are you expected to get there. And if it's non-essential why aren't the dealers closed? The website covers everything except car dealer issues;rather surprising given the size and importance to the economy of that sector. Anyway it ain't clear at all and my brain hurts trying to glean some logic out of it. So, f**k it, we're going tomorrow and if plod turns us around, so be it. 😀 Don't forget your masks Jim

Dealers may be allowed to sell locally... Mate it really depends on how we interpret the rules or laws. We are on here car enthusiasts but its up to each and every one of us to decide if we want to take the risks not only because of the law but to health...... When I collected the wee VW we were not under lockdown so I took the chance health wise but to be honest I kicked myself afterwards because I could have bought something home... If I had and caused harm I would have to live with it for the rest of my life. Im not preaching here or trying to influence in any way. Just what I did and how I felt afterwards. Would you consider having the car delivered ? Based of course on the basis IF its not as described 100 % they take it back at zero risk to you ? Again if Im honest Im not sure I could buy that way..

I hope you get the Shogun for a good price and get a good price for the RAV. Would WCVC make upu a decent offer? 14 months ago I would have been tempted myself but seeing my car just sitting on the drive I have realised we just need the one.

A guy on the Lexus site was offered £2900 p/x on a SC430 that sells for 6k all day long 🙄 Buyers wanting a 3 door Auto RAV4 have to pay the going market prices, traders just see it at book price . Only way to get the figures up is to sell the RAV4 privately ......or just keep it 😎

I’m not surprised any garage could or would allow anywhere near what a lot of you guys rate the 3 doors to be worth..... I had to see/drive the car before knowing if the asking price was satisfactory and what more the dealer was prepared to do for a sale. The RAV was never in the mix as I was a cash buyer. There was no way I was going to negotiate over the phone without seeing the car! 🙂
