Maybe I'm wrong the Ferrari's seem to have better upgrades, at the moment, but have all the cards been played

Weather may be a factor. Currently forecast sunny with a gentle breeze on Sunday but there's rain about on Saturday.

Could have saved some fuel and just done ten laps. Bottas would'nt have been pleased though.

Ocon shouldn't have lifted, he should have gone for the lead, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen & Ricciardo would have, that was a telling difference to me.

I stand by my previous unwelcome comments.... F1 is as boring as it can possibly be.....

I don't find them unwelcome, I do agree with you to a degree, but I still can't stop watching, just in case,

I still enjoy watching on TV but won't pay to do so next year.
I think if Ocon had been in one of the top 3 teams he wouldn't have lifted.

MMmm just that the annoying dark haired one, (not Webber) said something when introducing Ocon something along the lines of "Here is Ocon who might not be in the paddock next year, mind you for that matter we might not be as well" I sort of took that as CH4 won't be showing F1 next year, maybe they will just do it all as a studio based highlights show, I have to say I normally skip over all the prerace stuff.

That sounds promising. Once again, I switched on a few minutes after the start! Just in time for the restart after the safety car and the ensuing procession. It was a rainy afternoon so I did watch the race, and apart from Bottas and a momentary question as to what might happen as they changed tyres there really wasn't much to see. I generally begrudge the 2 hrs it takes to watch a 'dull' race but I rather like to see the highlights. But I don't agree that F1 is dull - just quite a lot of the actual racing. This years championship is finely poised. As things stand this week Ferrari have the faster, better car so its by no means certain who will win either the drivers or constructors championships. And after a few seasons of total dominance from Mercedes and lacklustre performance from Ferrari this can only be a good thing for the sport. However, it's well overdue time that Maclaren pulled their fingers out and stopped being also-rans, and I'd really like to see Williams competitive again!
