As subject. So , before I get the snowfoam gun sorted eventually. I assume it would pay to wax the car first , and from that - Autoglym wax as i use their products.
And apply with micro fibre cloths... gently.
I've got all week off , so buy wax from Amazon etc.

It can be hard work in very damp weather but if we get a dry spell (haha) then there’s no reason why not.

If it stays this cauld, I would give it a guid going over with a detailing spray, and de-tar/wax in the Spring. That will givecaw nice watter beading effect until you can get some Colly on it.

I wash the car and then always use a 50:50 mix of detailer wax (Maguire's Last Touch) and water sprayed on the car before drying with a microfibre towel. Waxing at this time of year can be a real PITA!

Put your tin of wax in a bowl or bucket of warm water. Helps. 👍👍
Sorry but Autoglm wax especially that Aqua wax is pish and won’t last a week...... You need a high durability wax or your efforts will simply be wasted.

I must admit, I watched a video on utube about aquawax... yes it looked 👎 So , I hear you rave about meguires Charlie - to be fair my car is not as looked after as yours.👍 I'll either use AG high def wax or meguires.

Sorry but hi def is no better. Meguires wax is also pretty poor when it comes to longevity. It’s the same amount of time and effort no matter which wax you use 👍

I.M.H.O. if it's not Collinite it's not worth expecting it to last very long.

Ok dokey.
So , sounds like collonite is the way to go. But , possibly not at the moment - at its just too damp. Shame , as I wanted to try it during this Xmas week off. Still , I did manage to pressure wash the majority of winter dirt off the car on Sunday. Better than what it was 😊
