Depends how long it has been driven with the gearbox issue - box could be toast.........

Yep, that's the one, Bob. They're very good.
Reading the sller's comments, I'd be wary. He says the gear changes are harsh but if they've continued to drive it, the box could be near to self-destruction. Apparently driving after the fault has become evident is a real no-no.
IMHO, the seller should get the ECU re-flashed and then he could sell it as a properly running vehicle. That assumes that it is the ECU issue and not something else.

Trouble is it could of had the ECU done already and the sellers keeping quite 🤔🤔 New box is double the current asking price !
