Condolences, Charlie. That's the second death I've heard of this week. A very good friend and colleague succumbed to Covid on Tuesday evening.  Lost another mate early last week who was a fellow roofing contractor but his untimely early passing was cancer. 55........ No age is it. Big strong man brought down to nothing by that vile bloody disease. This whole covid thing is testing me now if I’m honest. I feel selfish in saying it especially after this last week but hell am I pi$$ed off right now.... |

Although I’m late 50’s I got the text for the vaccine jab in the week ...so getting that done on Wednesday 👍🏻

Last Thursday had a call from the research team that I’m on the trials with. As I still don’t know weather I’ve had the placebo or vaccine I was offered the opportunity to find out so I can get vaccinated if I had the placebo or I can continue with the trials for another year. I’m back in at the Uni next week to have another jab so if it was the placebo I had originally at the beginning of the trials I’ll be now jabbed with the Novavax vaccine and the other way round of it was the vaccine originally.
I decided to continue as they want to know the long term effects of the vaccine and unfortunately a lot of people are falling out of the trials now for whatever reason. All seems positive at the moment and am happy to continue my participation.
Signed up for another trial last year which we were taking part in as a family and we’ve also decided to continue with that too for another year but this one involves blood samples every month.
The only downside is I’m not allowed to donate blood now whilst on the trials but hopefully shouldn’t be a problem once all this is over.
