That one on the way from Japan is excellent, shame there isn't more detailed photos. But knowing how the Japanese look after their cars, I bet it's in super excellent condition .

The rear number plate space is always a giveaway for a jap import as well.

Another one coming in HERE Must be getting desperate for low mileage Rav 3 doors to sell?? That really is a poor spec for the money ! no arch flairs, alloy wheels, roof rails, rear spoiler, silly mirror on wing, might have a speedo face change to MPH but trip still goes around on KPH. Not headlamp height adjuster, radio will need an expander to get upper FM bands. More expensive insurance and if you use Toyota breakdown cover they don’t include Imports .

I felt it was too much of an unknown quantity for me but that's really useful to know all the pitfalls. 👍

Rule of thumb is only buy an import if it’s an exotic not sold in the United Kingdom.

I've had two excellent Jap imports in my lifetime. Just be sure to do your research on the company selling them. Some have been going for decades and are totally trustworthy to ensure your car is 100% ready for UK roads and law, even down to converting the Jap stereo to UK frequencies etc.
If you find a Jap import dealer, a good sign is if he converts the rear lights to proper UK ones which incorporates the rear fog lights, I hate the dealers that just bolt one onto the rear of the car with a switch on the dash.

I had a look at that one - the advert not the car! If it was from WCVC I would be considering it. I expect it will soon be gone.

10 service stamps on a 16 year old car does not constitute a FSH, unless they are 18k intervals which the RAV isn't. Having said that I love the colour. Ditto the red one before; especially the colour scheme which you don't see very often.
