Another nice 3 door HERE at WCVC. That is about as good as it gets , last of them December 2005 In XT-R spec. It’s an eye watering amount of money but it will sell to somebody as they are become so sort after in the Auto. If you want a 3 door suv automatic it’s the RAV4 or the grand Suzuki Vitara and both seem to sell very quickly . |

If you want a 3 door suv automatic it’s the RAV4 or the grand Suzuki Vitara and both seem to sell very quickly . Nice car in a very good colour. Makes ours seem like good value as we got it nearly 2 years ago at that price but with less than half the mileage. This is an XT-R of course but as ours now has CC, the only differences are the air-con controls and sun-roof; personally I have never seen the point of one in a car with air-con. The 3-dr autos certainly seem to be in demand and commanding strong prices. I note a lot of examples are being imported from Japan. I saw a white one on AT yesterday with a really nice body kit. It was due in in a number of weeks, presumably from Japan. |

White import is a piece of poo, low spec compared with UK vehicles and the body kit looks horrendously bad taste. Agree the prices of nice 3 door auto examples will only go up and as you say ours look cheap at half the price 👍🏻

They, WVCC, do seem to have shifted quite a few 3 doors lately including manuals, they had three on their site the other day, not including that Blue one and it looks like they've all been sold?

Apart from the lack of steering wheel audio controls and the after-market stereo, it looks like XT-R spec, less the sun-roof. Admittedly, the body kit will always be a matter of personal taste, but I like it. And white is not a common colour in the UK. |

I can't see any reference to that in the ad..... The last import RAV4 this seller sold had a much better closer up shot of the rear wheels and I could see the brake drums, this white body kit one has a poor set of photos but the front calipers have been sprayed to dress it up to sell , if it has rear calipers they would also have been sprayed . If you look at the gaps in the rear wheels spokes it has a curved dark area that’s the same spot you would expect to see a caliper. They make 3 spec models, L , J & GX type and can have different specs, my understanding is J & L are low spec so much more likely to have rear drums. From owning an import mk1 years ago Differences , Uk spec alarm, headlamp self levelling , radio expander to get up fm waveband, speedo will have a mph face put on it but trip will still be in kph, most have rear drum brakes and for me they are not worth the prices importers are charging . |

That Blue 3 door has now sold  I can’t put my finger on why they are selling so well at any price, clearly they are becoming desirable other wise they would be selling at the prices they do, maybe many customers are more than happy to handing fortunes to dealer who are selling them ! i keep a log of 3 door auto’s sold and in the three weeks 6 have sold at very healthy prices.. £7995 £7995 £6995 £5995 £9990 £6495 I feel mine was a bit of a bargain and not over priced at all. |

Makes me wonder where they keep getting the 3 door autos from and how much profit they're making on each one and is it WVCC who have pushed the prices of the 3 door up as other sellers have jumped on the bandwagon over the last few months?
Yes Bob i agree i think looking at the prices now we both got a good deal which is why i'm glad we took the plunge when we did :TU:
And Jim what would they sell yours for now i wonder?
