Hi ,I need advice about changing the cam belt . Would you ,as a matter of course change the cam belt pullies/jockey wheels ,the tensioner and renew the water pump whilst having this work undertaken ? (seems logical to me ) .Also is there any thing else I should get done ? It appears this RAV4 has never had a belt change in its history ! 29,000mls and nearly 12yrs old with full service records .(not all Toyota though) I have compiled a parts list for the above and Toyota prices come in at £480. + labour on top . Is there a genuine parts company that anyone uses that offer better prices ? Just trying to factor in ,what I am getting into !!
Help !!

This is where "Full Service History" statements in adverts (not yours specifically, but seen so often) is usually nonsense and the sellers don't accept that work required and not done means it is not a Full History!
Anyways, other work required? Something that got me and I was not expecting on a 2004 RAV4 I bought in 2015 (and DID have Full Toyota History) was the Sump Plate (don't know what the proper name is) had become porous (a known issue) and I had to have that replaced - a three-figure sum. This was on a Petrol VVT-i - may be different on a Diesel D4D engine?
When was Brake Fluid last changed? should be every two years. If no record in that time, needs replacing. Coolant Fluid? It is Long Life if Pink, but I believe "Long Life" means 10 years, so should have been replaced two years ago.
Other owners of the RAV4.2 D4D might have other things for you to look at ....

Yes, buy a timing belt kit with all the pulleys and tensioners (this is a petrol engine, right?). I do a water pump at every second timing belt on a diesel but this being low mileage, I probably would as you are part way there with all the front stripped down.
The best kits are Gates but you can get everything from a good factor in a Blueprint box. Bob likes Blueprint stuff and I’ve had no problems that I recall.

He's looking at a D4D 2.0 Diesel RAV4.2 Ref Gates Belts ... When I was looking for belts for a couple of jobs, the Gates ones were actually the cheapest! Think I paid under £3 for a Gates Power Steering Belt for a VW
