Looks like Mercedes are struggling with the heat and their tyres are not lasting ....well done to Max for the win on Sunday 🏆 Looking at the race with hindsight, Mercedes were complacent with their strategy and relying on having a faster car and two good drivers. RB worked out a way of using the tyres, on their car, to the best advantage. Maybe the Mercedes has too much downforce for hot conditions on a twisty circuit. It may well have been a completely different race if the temperature had been 10 degrees cooler - but that's what you employ the strategists for! I'd be suprised if they get caught in the same way again. F1 / FIA are in a difficult position with Mercedes. There is the Racing Point copying issue and then the problem with redistribution of funding. I don't think that I'd like to play cards against Toto Wolff!

The Concorde agreement does need updating but teams like Mercedes will be the losers, yet the teams further down the pit lane need the money for survival ...time for Toto to get his pen out ! The one the bugs me is why Ferrari get and extra handout just because they are Ferrari ...seems very out of date to me and again not fair to the other struggling team 🤔

Now, I ask, is Toto trying to level the playing field with his tactics?

I imagine Mercedes could of have a long racing pedigree if they had not withdrawn after that catastrophic accident, when one of their cars crashed into the crowd at the 1955 Le Mans 24-hour race. Ferrari’s extra money should scrapped and paid out to the other team 👍🏻

Here you go Chris: linkA number of the drivers were complaining that it was being driven too slowly today. Do you fancy a go? I noticed that when Leclerc (I think? maybe Max?) made that comment, the speed info popped on the screen.... It was going 140MPH at the time. It certainly didn't look very fast from the camera angle, but that seems pretty nippy to me! I always thought this was a good demo to show diference in performance.

Sorry for the video quality, there are better versions around, and yes i do realise that the course car is a lot quicker than either of these road cars.

I enjoyed it , interesting race..👍 Never seen a mid race restart before ! It would appear that some of the drivers were unsure of the proceedure - never mind me!
