It would be sad if they went, but surely the spectacle is perfect for their customers, but they do need to be at the pointy end, so you can understand why they are being belligerent, but it's good to see that the RRB (Red Rule Book) doesn't seem to be in force as much as it was.
I would also like to see more teams, there needs to be 30 cars on track, sorry if that means Monaco has to be shelved, or maybe for that event there is a pre-event where the 10 slowest don't get to compete. Possibly that's an idea anyway, have 15 teams on Saturday with only 12 being allowed to run, or allow teams to enter just 1 car.
But somebody has to answer the biggest question first, what is F1? is it the best drivers doing battle against each other in similar specification cars, or is it the height of technically innovative cars that possibly don't need as good a driver to extract the best from it.
To me to make it more viable to the automotive industry it needs to be the 2nd, let them bring back active suspension, (let's face it Damien Hill may not have been World Champion if it wasn't for it) let the teams think out of the box (hate the saying) but develop things that can be used in their onroad cars, if the race car gets too far away from the road car what benefit does the car industry get?

Formula E is getting more organised year by year so F1 needs to be on its toes that their popularity could get overtaken 🤔

Formula E is getting more organised year by year so F1 needs to be on its toes that their popularity could get overtaken 🤔 Agreed but I have issues with Formula E, if they don't change the format I fear it's just another A1 GP in the making, they need to let the technicians, suspension & aero gurus do their thing & make each car different.
