Bored with the granny mobile Jamie ??
That dealer is crap. Hissed me about chronic........ 60K miles is way to much on a Hybrid What with the battery questions.

What with the battery questions. What battery questions Charlie? If you have some information please expand. It's going back a few years now, but a "tame" Toyota service manager told be they'd only ever changed 2 traction batteries. Admittedly Mr T has produced far more hybrids since then, so even with world class, low ppm defect, manufacturing techniques, by the law of averages, there will be a few more failures. There's something like 8 years warranty on a traction battery and separately I was told, so long as there is a record of a "Hybrid Health Check" ever year, Toyota generally will honour the warranty beyond that. That would be some of the paperwork to check, before buying a used one. Of course, all dealer staff play the "talk up the product" game to some extent, so take the above, with how ever many pinches of salt you want. Do you have something else? I have a 4WD model. I like it loads. It's not totally perfect, but nothing is. I assume Dave.m (and maybe others) still has his? As above, yes, I think Business edition would be 2WD. I'd need to have a think about 60K miles, but you'll also be dictated by budget.

The Yaris was only ever a stand in car until I sourced another 4wd. Tbh.. I could have bought a cheap car just to get around. But.. I panicked a little as I had no car and the Yaris gave me... transport. I've also considered getting winter tyres for the Yaris.. to get me through this winter. I've heard we're to expect a serious winter too , so the low Yaris may bottom out. Also I do need a bigger boot with 4wd, so another Rav4 or similar is what id like to get back to. I also miss sitting higher. Dilemma time. I looked at utube at the striking blue crush hybrid Rav4... but... quite rare with low mileage.

I think that you will find that there are stories on all dealers at one time or another. Remember that if you buy the car the warrany is from mrT and not the specific dealer, so you can buy the car there, and service it where you want. If you fancy it, go and try. Just go with open eyes and don't let the heart decide, use your brain.

Have you looked at the Outlander PHEV Jamie? Completely different to the old model that Kev mentioned above. Plenty of space and would get you to work and back on one charge I would think. Later versions have a 2.5 petrol too. Mitsubishi batteries are just that. They have individual cells that can be changed out should there be any failures ( not that I am aware of any). They have a very smart power delivery/harvesting system. Plenty of space and the older 2.0l petrol delivers 220hp when you put your foot down and both petrol and electric drive is engaged. If you could find an ex lease one there is a good chance it has hardly ever been charged since many were bought simply for the low VED. As to the ASX, a bit smaller than the RAV but ours carries 5 when necessary. We have the 2.2 disel auto on a 16 plate. Only thing I find is that it's a bit 'choppy' around the lanes where the road is less than flat. As to plasticky, the front wings are indeed plastic.

Popping back to Mitsubishi this morning, another look at ASX and maybe PHEV. My criteria are, 4wd , blue and petrol or hybrid. May try Suzuki too... but I've always regarded as cheap cars. See how the day pans out.

Just got to check bike fits in 🤔 Or roof rails at worst. The Eclipse Cross appears to be powered by a 1.5L turbo petrol engine (only). That said, it does come as a AWD auto and does seem to have the proportions of an original RAV ...

Yup, check on that engine capacity Jamie. I know there is a 2.0l petrol variant but not aware that it has become available in the UK. Maybe more recently?
