think you’d probably get more MPG from the Yaris in comparison to the C-HR. We have so many hills here it’s unreal. The only thing that I don’t like about the CVT is the noise of the engine when your joining the motorway or a dual carriageway. Once it hits the 70 mark it quietens back down and is nice and smooth.Does the Yaris have the road sign assist? I really find that useless. The other day it was showing the speed limit as 110 mph 🤯 No , mines the Icon entry model. It's got lane departure warning , crash avoid warning. Eco drive mode , e.v drive mode. I've just registered 96.5 mpg driving through our village on battery & petrol with cruise control on at 30mph. Done that for the 1 mile straight across our village green. Made me smile 😊 That silent drive is still... very strange. The silent drive will get me into trouble one day. When your driving in our local supermarket car park you always get someone walking in front of you as you pull out. I get worried if I sound the horn and it shocks them into a heart attack. I spooked the Mrs which didn’t go down very well 😂😂

New seat covers , blue to match the car colour and protect the new seats. Not bad from Amazon.. £20 fit quite well.

Got my first speed ticket in 45 years on the road whilst driving an Outlander PHEV............ Was it a mobile camera or fixed? We’ve got so many mobile cameras now they just turn p at random locations. That’s the thing I love about the Waze app as it updates so quickly so you know where the buggers are hiding

Long story but basically I was doing a late evening run to Gatwick to pick up Son. Got diverted off both the M4 and M3 because of night time roadworks. Ended up pretty much blindly following a diversion through an area I didn't know and, because of the silent running of the PHEV whilst going down hill, didn't have the usual audible feedback from either engine or gearbox sound. Be warned all you Eco warriors in your EVs and Hybrids

When you blow your horn it doesn’t half make them jump 😂

The silent drive is quite cool. Someone in our street has the mitsubishi suv thing. Kinda eerie when it goes past early in the morning. Very thoughtful of him...Then I fire up old rattlebox!!

Are they compatible with the side seat airbags that I presume the Yaris has? Yes , there are ready made long holes in the sides 👍 But strangely, there are only ' srs airbag' symbols on the lower outer plastic trim on the seats themselves. No srs labels on the seat backs.

Got my first speed ticket in 45 years on the road whilst driving an Outlander PHEV............ Tough luck David - happened to me last year, 50 years of a clean licence then 34 in a 30 area whilst accelerating up to speed after the lorry in front of me turned sharp left and stopped the traffic behind it - I was first in the queue. The Speed Awareness course was good fun though - two great guys running it.

Not any more .... www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48815968The Mitsubishi PHEV already makes a sort of humming noise at low speeds but not exactly engine sounding, more like the sound effect used in old Sci-Fi movies for hover vehicles.
