Any recommendations for shock absorbers please. this is for the 4.2 the front passenger side is all over the place and I think might be better to replace the full set back and front. Also would the springs have to be replaced too?

I vaguely remember replacing the shocks on number 1 RAV with adjustable Konis. The fronts I did but kept the original springs. I have only ever replaced springs when they break...which seems to happen at the rear for some obscure reason lol. The rear shocks need replaced on the temporary number 3 car being badly corroded but still working. However not planning on keeping the car...

Also would the springs have to be replaced too? Doing all four corners seems a bit drastic, Ash......AND make sure what you are experiencing is not a manifestation of one or two broken rear springs......as Boffs said, they are very susceptible to snapping at the rear. FRONTS are McPhersons anyway so come as a kit with springs.....naw....?

I've had to replace the rear springs on mine as one had broken. When I was looking at front struts they seemed to be only available by purchasing the struts and springs separately and not as a complete unit..?

Thanks guys, the springs are ok both back ones were replaced last MOT. I was under the impression that they all need to be replaced at the same time. The front one definitely gone as the car bounces like a boat when going over a bump so that’s what makes me think it’s the shock.
