Since my retirement in 1995 I have developed several new hobbies. One is bell collecting. I decided to study the history of bells and put together a collection of bells made by famous foundries around the world, past and present. I rarely add more bells now. I stick firmly to the rule that it’s now one in and one out. Several years ago I was able to publish this blog. I have left it in place. I regularly get emails from far and wide asking for advice. I’m usually able to point people in the right direction. Its been a lot of fun. Here’s the blog: fido-bells.blogspot.co.uk

Wow that is some collection. I have in my working life been up a church spire and a tower or two and seen some of the big ones. It’s ear defenders on when they chime when up top.

Very nice collection you have there. I was actually given two bells for Christmas! just gimmicky ones - a "Ring for Tea" and a "Ring for Beer" Bells
