Bit of a nightmare had surgery on my elbow in May and this surgery is on my hand so a lot worse and painful. As I use crutches to walk make sit harder as been told can’t use one in that hand for up to 8-12 weeks so it’s quite difficult to walk using just one. Getting used to it now though so hopefully will manage.

As a niece told me as I struggled to cope with the 70th birthday, its just a number. I think its the physical issues that follow that are worse. I've spent 8 months in bed following a spine injury back in 1994/5 leading to premature retirement. Then time using a wheelchair about 10 years ago, when I had to buy a powered chair as pushing a 25st hulk was impossible, and nowadays, I have a knee brace which is working to support my knee, albeit I wasn't wearing it when I fell 3 weeks ago. There are lots of aids available, but of course accessibility is awkward sometimes.
I wish you a speedy recovery.

I wish you a speedy recovery. I was 35 when I did my back in now 52 but yeah get where you’re coming from I have braces fitted to my trainers by orthotics and only used a wheelchair for a short time. I try to be as independent as I can so using crutches was the best way for me. Anyway onwards and upwards as they say I try my best off work for now so getting to enjoy the sun too
