Have to say that most aftermarket mats I've seen have some form of fixing for the driver mat. Unless they have same fixing as OE, they usually come with their own that involves screwing something into the floor carpet.

I bought genuine tailored Honda mats for our CRV but on reading this post I have ordered some rubber ones for the rest of this inclement winter from www.travall.co.uk. £35 didn't seem a bad deal and I have found the rubber liner for the boot that I bought from Amazon a real benefit. The rubber mats from Travall arrived this morning and they seem a bargain at £35. They fit well: in fact the one for the driver’s much better than the Honda tailored mat I bought from the dealer: it doesn’t leave a big gap before the accelerator which is where I had a problem with wear on our previous CRV. I will see how they wear but my initial impression is they are great!

I reckon OEM Mats are overpriced by around 90% - so when selling a car they could throw in a "£100" freebie that cost them less then a tenner to provide.

Looking at all these excellent mats that are posted, the only thing I have to say is that if you have your Toyota serviced at a main dealer, expect to find the mats in the boot afterwards, as none of them have the hole in to hook into the retainer to stop them sliding forward and potentially blocking the accelerator . When I get a new car, be it Rav Hybrid or 'Other', I'll be using non OEM mats as well  do you mean OEM Mats or the other mats that have been posted? If you mean the third-party mats, I can't talk about the mats I haven't bought, but the aftermarket mats I bought for my Vauxhall lock into place using the two press studs that are pre-fitted by the maker. If you mean Toyota ones, then they also had the holes in. So "none"?? EDIT Thought I would take a picture of the mat with no holes to fit the retainer and which will kill me when driving .... ... because it kind of bugs me when people make sweeping statements. What did Tony say wrong Hoov? I’ve read it about 10 times and can’t see what he said - they do box your mats and chuck them in the boot at a Toyota garage ever since the accelerator debacle. Talking of sweeping, that’s what your mat wanted before the photo was taken ;-)

He said "...as none of them have the hole in to hook into the retainer" Sorry, but I don't believe that to be correct at all - all the car mats I have bought - OEM or otherwise - which were specified for a specific car and not "universal" have have fittings to secure, including Toyota ones. (PS - last RAV4 I took in for a service back in 2015, the floor mats were where I left them afterwards - on the floor)
