I'll see what happens tomorrow, if I'm " interrogated " as to why I took time off.
I'll say it was the right thing to do.
Sanjer David, or however its spelt said on good morning Britain yesterday... If he was positive, he wouldn't go into his office.. Thats good enough for me!
Sitting here typing this , I feel fine now - maybe a very very slight snivly nose. And I've heard on Anglia Tonight that infections are quite high in the south east. Hope all you good folk on here stay healthy 👍👍

I agree , I'm on a salary but my Managing Director asked that I go to work if I felt ok to. Luckily I only spend my time with two other lads one who'd recently had it and the other is at work now having tested positive too. We always wear masks when leaving our work area. I only did a test out of curiosity because I'd had a seriously bad cold that only lasted for three or four days. How many are carrying on as normal not knowing they have Covid ? Loads I would imagine and it's only going g to get worse as test kits become scarce. Testing kits are very difficult to get hold of over our way. Even when a person is in the at risk group. We have a couple left and that’s it. I drop my wife off at her crafters group on a Thursday. All the others there are those who are disabled or old so all in the vulnerable group. Not one of the ladies will go unless they’ve a negative test taken on the Thursday morning, None want to unintentionally spread the virus, Now they’re worrying that there won’t be testing kits available. Our inept government couldn’t run a far king bath….

So, I went back to work last Wednesday after testing negative.
And , I didn't get paid whilst I was off sick... isolating.
Very frustrating.

The Rules changed on the 24th March - so the day AFTER you went back to work. Therefore the old rules apply .... www.acas.org.uk/coronavirus/self-isolation-and-sick-pay/sick-pay-for-self-isolationSick pay for self-isolation rules before 24 March Before 24 March 2022, staff were entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) if they could not work because they were self-isolating for any of the following reasons: they had coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms or tested positive someone in their household had symptoms or tested positive they were told to self-isolate by an NHS test and trace service they were advised by their doctor to stay at home before going into hospital for surgery To be eligible for SSP, they must have been off work for at least 4 days in a row, including any of their usual non-working days. They were entitled to be paid at least SSP for every day they were off work. This was different to the usual rules for SSP where the first 3 days are unpaid. If there's a disagreement over Statutory Sick Pay Employees can raise disagreements with their employer about: if SSP should have been paid how much SSP should have been paid It's usually best to raise the problem informally first. If employees cannot resolve the disagreement, they can contact HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

As Don shows there , I wonder if it'll surge until it burns out ?
I still wear my mask at work , serving random people. And some customers wear them , respecting me. None of our staff do anymore.

My turn for Covid. Tested positive a week ago and felt pretty rough. now the line is fainter on the lateral flow test and i just feel totally knackered. think i got it attending a funeral in the forest of Dean. According to the app i,m free to go out into the world now. i won't until I've had a couple of days clear testing and feel ok.
