How does the hybrid's AWD system cope on snow and ice - compared with the more traditional system in the ICE RAVs? Any experience or views?

Mazda CX-3, great car loved it but just too small in terms of boot space, thought it wouldn’t be an issue but it was on occasions. From the various descriptions and posts, if the CX-3 was too small sometimes, the C-HR is probably going to have the same issue? the RAV4 2.5 Petrol Hybrid sounds like a super car

It is, I've had a couple of test drives, and frankly am hooked ... however I don't like the way Toyota have gone with the design changes, the flat dash, and the extra length turns it into an Avensis 4x4 IMO! If I go for what is effectively a bigger estate car then the Outlander PHEV keeps catching my eye. ... especially with the fact that I do a lot less miles, but more around town nowadays, and the RAV is struggling to maintain 30MPG

Asking for good reason.........Dave and/or Andy.........whar the benefits of Rav Hybrid.......? Both reputed AND personal opinions please. Everything Dave said. Oh also it's blue. Where you live, not sure. I like the fact I can crawl silently in traffic without burning any fuel. It has a calming effect. You'll generally get the same consumption long distance cruise or congestion. Possibly a little less on the long runs. You just have to adjust your expectations in that respect. If you're only pottering around your local town these days, you might do better on fuel, but worth the outlay for that? Probably not. Otherwise on all your other local roads you'll do as well or possibly better with a manual diesel. Yours will of course be a little less, with that auto. Bigger load capacity over yours has been useful recently. I bought mine before the road tax changes, so pay peanuts in tax, but that's a very minor point, when it's factored into the total cost of motoring. It feels refined, but so does yours. Space saver spare wheel as standard. (....recent press announcement that Toyota are developing a 2.0 (rather than 2.5l) AWD based hybrid power train.) Cheers Andy......very expensive whim has just been shot up the anus.......cannot justify getting rid of a thus far faultless 35k car and spending £25k on something not required in real terms.
