Weird, never seen anything like that before. Will you be able to get away with just getting the wing resprayed? I've got an old school friend owns 'b smart repairs ' in Gt.Bentley. He's 5 mins from the house. I'm hoping he'll be able to paint down to the fold /blend there. Go across maybe halfway along the wing. But , he may say ... paint the entire wing 😕 It all boils down to modern repair techniques. Anything is better than this , g@d it's annoying.

Been racking my brain about vehicles I've followed , nothing comes to mind. Tbh.... I question why these impacted here and not on the bonnet , am actually thankful for that.
And I can't find a magnet anywhere, I tap the wing with fingers... sounds metallic.. But I think Paulus on here has an ASX which has plastic wings. Need a magnet , I'll look in my tools.

While it is interesting to speculate what caused the damage and how it happened - so that maybe you can avoid a repeat offence - the most important thing now is that you can get the damage satisfactorily repaired so that you don't get reminded each time you wash the car. Good luck!

Good luck! ^^^This. It's a complete pain but it is what it is, time to move on. The car is too new and the paint too nice to do anything other than a proper repair. We've all been there in some way shape or form and believe me, once it's fixed, doesn't feel anywhere near as bad.

Have a look at the wheel behind the damage. Any sign of this on there....? Could it be brake fluid leak thrown up....?

I even thought it may be a water from the battery thrown out ( topped it up with a few drops last week) But that's fine. Anyways, I'll get a quote from my mate.. get it done , back to new and enjoy it again. Just so annoying , and I can't find a magnet anywhere 🤣

You can tell a panel is plastic or not by pressing on it. Plastic has different paint type and has to has flexible agents added into the mix. There appears to metal showing in your picture ? That could be just about anything on that car. Really bad luck I’ve never seen anything like that.

You can see the layers , I reckon it's white plastic we can see at the base of the hole. I wonder if I'd left it any longer , it would have eaten through the possible plastic wing ?

And now , I've had a stone impact almost on the front edge of the bonnet.
3mm dent and more paint taken off.

Should have ppf it.

That's rubbish on your birthday Rambs. Get both issues sorted and then add some protection film.
